Hunter Douglas manufactures some of the finest shades on the market today. Aside from these shades being beautiful and well made, they are also very expensive. Being that Hunter Douglas shades are so expensive, it makes sense to repair them rather than replace them. Repairing a Hunter Douglas shade is a highly technical task that should only be attempted by a Hunter Douglas Certified professional. We have put together a list of questions that you should ask:
- Are your service workers Hunter Douglas Certified?
Long Island Blind Repair’s service workers are ALL Hunter Douglas Certified. In order to be Hunter Douglas Certified, an intense week-long training course given by Hunter Douglas in Broomfield Colorado must be completed. Hunter Douglas only approves a select group of window treatment installers/repair companies each year to attend this certification course. Make sure any company that you consider hiring is Hunter Douglas Certified.
- Do you use Hunter Douglas certified parts?
Since Long Island Blind Repair is Hunter Douglas Certified, we have the ability to order all of our parts directly from Hunter Douglas. Other non-certified repair companies CANNOT order parts directly from Hunter Douglas and typically will order parts from places such as Amazon or small online websites that could be selling imitation parts that will not last for long.
- How long have you been in business and repairing Hunter Douglas blinds?
Long Island Blind Repair has been in business since 2004. We have the experience and know-how to repair Hunter Douglas blinds that were manufactured from the 1970’s all the way up to present-day Hunter Douglas blinds including the most complex motorized shades.
These are just a few important questions that you should ask. Keep in mind, Long Island Blind Repair is primarily a blind/shade repair company and many of our competitors are not.
